CHIP220 for PHYSICS220 RECITATION

Students enrolled in SUMMER 2008 PHYSICS220 must log in to the assigned on-line homework account using their Username and Password as described in the handout Instructions for Using CHIP in order to have the credit recorded properly. This Username and Password combination also protects your access to the gradebook. You will be asked for a username and password when you try to get into the Homework Assignments or Student Gradebook.

If you are not yet officially enrolled in the course, or you enrolled late contact your professor, TA, or Dr. V. Saxena to get an account on Computerized Homework in Physics (CHIP). Alternatively, click on the Problem Report link at the bottom of this page, fill out the form, and click on the submit button.

You are not sure of your UserID or Password? Do you want to check if your account exists? If so, click: help

Please also remember that although homework (CHIP220) and prelabs (CHIP220L) work independently of each other you have been assigned same passwords on them. When you login on one and change your password it also changes your password on the other.

SUMMER 2008 STUDENTS: Your first task will be to set your password. Starting here on the Physics220 homepage, click on the Student Gradebook option. Use your username and initial password as explained in the CHIP handout distributed during the first lecture to log in. If, for some reason, you did not get this handout you can pick up a copy from Rm. 144 in Physics Building. When you have correctly entered these, you will be let into the gradebook. You should then change your password to something of your choice by clicking on the Change My Password option and following the directions.

Please note that your answers generally need to be at least within 1% of the correct value to register as correct. Some questions may allow only a limited number of attemps or require accuracy within a specified number of significant digits. See Instructions for important information (including those on accuracy).
