Students enrolled in SPRING 2009 PHYSICS241 must log in to his/her CHIP account using their assigned Username and Password to work on the assignments and to view the gradebook. The information on the Username and initial Password is described in the handout Instructions for Using CHIP. Please follow the instructions there exactly to gain access to CHIP. If you did not get a copy of this handout in your first recitation, you may pick one up at Rm.144 in the Physics Building.

If you are not yet officially enrolled in the course, or you enrolled late, click on the Problem Report link at the bottom of this page, fill out the form, and click on the submit button to request an account on CHIP.
In-class Lecture Quizzes start on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009. You must have registered your iClicker response pad properly for this course (on CHIP, in the Student Gradebook) by Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009 to receive credits for all the Quizzes. If you have not registered your iClicker by this date, you will LOSE CREDIT for all the quizzes given prior to the time of registration. In addition, until you register your iClicker, all other gradebook facilities of CHIP are turned off.
Please note that your answers generally need to be at least within 1% of the correct value to register as correct. All questions allow only a limited number of attempts. Some may also require accuracy within a specified number of significant digits. See Instructions for additional important information (including those on accuracy).
